It’s finally here, Storm get the new season underway on Monday 1st April. After some great winter training with fantastic turnout, we finally return to the grass at Bridgehaugh.
Training will now run from 6pm every Monday and Wednesday through to end of September.
New players are always welcome at Storm, come down and give Touch a go!
We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Scottish Cottages for the coming season. Scottish Cottages will sponsor our playing kit, which we’ll be launching very soon… We look forward to a fantastic season with our new sponsor.
We’re delighted to confirm that Stirling Storm are once again hosting a leg of this years STS, on 16th June. Entries are now invited, forms and more detail can be found on our Stirling Tournament page.
This year we’re delighted to see the introduction of a single point of entry for all STS events, check out the new Scottish Touch Membership portal.
We’re back for the new year with training every Monday, 7pm, on Astro pitches at St Modans High School.
Training is for all, returning and new members. It’ll be mainly game based with some skills and fitness thrown in to keep it fresh.
Stirling Storm are hosting a start of season Come and Try Touch session. This is a free event open to anyone interested in finding out more about Touch.
Guy, girls, any age or fitness level, complete beginners, returning to the game, rugby players, netball players, hockey players – everyone welcome!
Our qualified coaches and referees will run through some of the basics and core skills, then we’ll jump into lots of games!
Touch is a fantastic sport. It’s easy to get started with, and one of the few where male and female players play equally in mixed teams. Perfect sport in which to get fit, have fun and meet new people.
Stirling Storm have been playing Touch locally since 2001. We are a welcoming and friendly club, giving all players the opportunity to play at their desired level – social run out through to International representation! We are affiliated to the sport’s governing body and locally to Active Stirling.
We train every Monday and Wednesday 6-8pm and are always on look out for new players.

Winter training has started and now is the perfect time for new players to join the Stirling Storm family for the upcoming 2017 season. We have lots planned this year, with new winter venue and a return to Stirling County from April. Great training sessions, lots of club nights with games, our tournament back in usual June slot, entering tournaments across the country and playing Glasgow league – and importantly more social events!
We are actively recruiting new male and female players, all ages and abilities, so please spread the word. If you’re checking this out for first time then please get in contact for more info, or just pop down and see us at next training session.
The new season has arrived and we look forward to welcoming current, returning and new players to join us for our 10 week block of training over winter months.
We’re delighted to secure some great facilities through our membership with ClubSport Stirling. We will be training on the synthetic Hockey pitch at Forthbank. This is a great surface to train on and we hope it won’t be affected by the adverse weather as much as the sand based pitches we’ve used in the past.
Every Monday evening from 16th January, 7.00 to 8.30pm.

See you there!!
Crisp sunny Sunday afternoon in November, beautiful backdrops with Ochil Hills on one side and Wallace Monument the other, great quality pitches and enjoying both competitive and social games with lots of friends. This is perfect Touch.
The first of our winter friendlies took place on Sunday 6th Nov between Storm and Stirling Uni. Many of us who’ve played a long season in 2016 could quite rightly feel a little jaded and in need of a break, this was the perfect antidote to that.
Two very competitive but contrasting sides played a really close game, the experience against youth. Let’s not even think about the contrast in average ages across the two teams! The first game was a really tight 5 v 4 win for Stirling Storm – definitely blew off a few cobwebs. The second social game allowed the Uni to show some real flair and was a great fun game.
To top off the enjoyment of the players we also had some great success with referee development. Callum Murray, Callum Hamilton and Matthew Young took on referee duties for the competitive game, coached and assessed by our regional ref director, Phil Leeks. We’re delighted to say all three passed with flying colours and are now Level 1 referees. Well done guys.
Thanks to everyone from Stirling Storm and Stirling Uni who came down too play and referee. We hope everyone enjoyed it and please keep eyes peeled for more friendlies and then Central Touch Series dates over the course of winter.
All club members, and prospective members, are invited to join us on Wednesday 20th April at Bridgehaugh, after training, for the 2016 Storm AGM.
It’s really important we get a good turnout, as there are many plans to discuss for the upcoming season and we value everyones input.

All club members are welcome to join us for a day/night out on Saturday 12th March to bid Jenn a fond farewell.
Sadly for us Jenn is heading to the frozen north to start an exciting new job, and life in Aberdeen. We can’t let this pass without opportunity to reminisce and wish her all the best over a few beers.
Joining us in season 2010, her talent for the game was quickly spotted, both by club and then country. Jenn has played a huge part in our success on the pitch with her leadership and coaching, and she manages to balance competition with the social side of Touch both on and off the pitch – our Stirling Storm club ethos!
Stirling has recently been recognised for our great development of youth players, and again this has been led by Jenn through her work at school and encouragement shown to young players who come down to training. Many years and successes have come her way playing with Scotland Mixed Open, which have culminated in appointment as Assistant Coach for 2016.
It goes without saying that Jenn will be hugely missed by everyone at the club, and we wish her all the best for whatever adventure comes next.
